Situated on a 64.5 acre site, The Film Archive & Preservation Center will provide the highest standards of preservation and storage for one of the most significant collections of film and television moving images in the world. The T-shaped complex is designed to preserve the park-like setting of the oak tree savanna hillsides and maximize views to create a quality workplace for the staff of 75. The project includes a film preservation laboratory, digital moving image and audio preservation laboratory, film video and paper storage archive, central plant and staff offices adjoining the existing underground nitrate film storage vaults.
